There will be more pages added to this site covering family histories and other things of interest, but this will take time to develop.

Photography Portfolio

Photography is one of my main passions and I am involved in this in several ways. One of the most useful resources on the web is ePHOTOzine, an on-line photographic magazine.

My portfolio page can be accessed directly by clicking on the icon.

You can register at EPZ for free or pay for the extended features of the e2 membership. All comments on the images will be most welcome.

The Riley Family

From the left we have Pat, Judy, Doreen, Arthur (my father) and Jack Riley.

The first draft of the text is now active and this will be refined over the coming weeks. There are also photographs to be added, but I am waiting to find the best copies of all the images I want to post.

The Riley Clan

The Scollon Family

This is my wife Sue and this page, under development, will include all the things we would like to share about the Scollon family.

All the news that's fit to print! This page of the site is not yet active.

The Balfour Family

The Balfours have a long and distinguished history and this page will tell the tale. Andrew Balfour, shown right, was the Naval Attache to the Royal Court of Siam, the same court shown in the film "The King and I". He married a Siamese girl, Mae Pun, who is therefore my Great Grandmother.

The Balfours were also great friends with the Scottish author/explorer Alastair Alpin MacGregor, who I met in 1964.

Watch this space for further information - this page is not active yet.

The FitzGerald Family

The FitzGeralds have several claims to fame and Edward, shown right, is probably the most well known. Translator of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khyyam and prolific and extraordinary letter writer. I have grown to know Edward well through our recent visits to Boulge and through extensive reading of those delightful letters.

Dr W E FitzGerald (Ernest) was my Great Uncle and held the post of Medical Officer of Health for Southport. My Great Aunt, Elsie, lived with us for some time before the end of her life and we have a close connection.

"The Moving finger writes, and, having writ, moves on. Nor all your piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all your tears wash out a word of it."

The Dragonstone Fantasy Setting

We have played ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS since around 1980. Eventually we ran out of published adventures, so then we wrote our own. The Dragonsfoot website is a great resource - www.dragonsfoot.org - and within its pages you will find my own Dragonstone fantasy campaign is available for you to download. The picture at right will link you directly to the download page.
